Click: Eggs and Toast

When Bee and Jai announced CLICK and Eggs as the theme for this month, I knew I had to showcase my daughter, A's favorite breakfast item. Eggs! She loves them scrambled or as a simple omelet with butter, salt, pepper and dash of milk. What I find interesting raising these two 17 month old twins is that both of them although given the chance to try out the same foods at home have always had very personal preferences for their food items. A loves eggs, raw tomatoes, most Indian food, pineapples as an example. N loves peanut butter, bagels, and blueberries. N is in heaven if I give him a blueberry bagel smeared with peanut butter while A is very content eating eggs, grapes and buttered toast for breakfast. Having A & N being a boy and a girl twin also makes them perfect science projects for nurture vs nature experiments. Bottom line, they are two very special individual people even as toddlers and mommy has come to cater to their needs pretty well! :)

Here is my October entry to Click. An Omelet served with toast and grapes. I cut out the omelet with my Ice cream sandwich molds referenced in this post! I am sure a cookie cutter would work well too.

I took the picture using my NIKON D50 with a fixed 50mm prime lens set on Manual mode slightly overexposed and cropped the image in photo shop. I also used natural light in the a.m and the food is presented with a couple of egg served on my daughter's white food tray.

Beautiful picture as usual... That is so cute that the twins have their own distinct personalities so early!

Thanks for coming over here and welcome!
Nabeela-yeah i had my ice cream molds handy but no cookie cutters, so you know where my heart is. :)
bee-thanks for hosting Jai!
suganya-thanks!
happy cook-appreciate the vote of confidence!
nags-:) thanks!
bee-good idea, thanks for the tip.
sig-yeah A & N are pretty individualistic creatures.. Hmm. i wonder where they got that!
Sandeepa-she loves eggs, star shaped was very easy for her to hold and chomp down, when she chews stuff she relishes, she smacks her mouth heartily, its very sweet on a 17 month old. Not so attractive on grown ups. :)
